Clinical and user trials
The results of a trial that took place at City Hospitals Sunderland are being presented at the European Institute of Oncology's 12th Breast Cancer Conference in Milan on 17th June 2010. The trial involved 300 women and was designed to assess whether Breastlight could detect abnormalities and cancers. The Sunderland researchers concluded that the device was accurate and suitable for women to use at home as part of their breast awareness routine.
